It is 2010! We are Christians in a dark world. This world is even darker than Tim Burton could imagine. It has been darkened by the sin and corruption that is held by the "...rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Eph. 6:12) It is in this darkness that we are called to be the light of the world. The theme  for this week, “Encounter the Light” comes from Matthew 5:14

“You are the Light of the world.”

We will be talking about the source of our light and how to get to know it better. We will be dealing with real life issues that are trying to put out our light, and how we can keep our lights bright in the darkness of this world.
